About Us

In 2022, Greg Beaudin, Brad Wilson of Baden Sports, and brand designer Tom Pedriks established the WHA to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original World Hockey Association—famously known as the "Rebel League" or "Rival League."

The founders recognized 1972 as a transformative year for hockey's global reach, when the original WHA disrupted the established order and opened new possibilities for the sport. Inspired by this rebellious legacy, they committed to expanding ice hockey worldwide by empowering youth across all continents through accessible, safe, and inclusive formats.

This vision drives their support for dynamic alternatives like Floorball and ultimately led to the creation of Hockeyball—an innovative form of ball hockey that prioritizes speed, skill, safety, and versatility. Designed specifically for school gymnasiums and modern play spaces, Hockeyball removes traditional barriers to entry, making hockey accessible regardless of geographic location, economic background, or physical ability.
